Director, Client Executive (Securities Finance)

<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Client Executive join our Securities Finance Client Coverage team. This role is located in New York.<br><br>In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:<br><br><ul><li>Originate and grow hedge fund client relationships by structuring margin/collateral/financing solutions, leading senior prospect and diligence discussions, and driving cross-sell across BNY’s Prime & Borrow+ and broader Liquidity & Financing offerings.</li><li>Develop and execute coverage plans for top-tier hedge fund and alternative asset manager prospects, including targeting, pipeline management, and conversion to mandate.</li><li>Lead senior-level engagement (CIO/COO/CFO) across the prospect lifecycle—initial outreach, solutioning, diligence, and negotiation—to build durable, multi-product relationships.</li><li>Structure margin, collateral, and financing solutions spanning cash and derivatives to improve client liquidity, margin efficiency, and balance sheet outcomes.</li><li>Drive cross-sell of Prime & Borrow+ and the broader Liquidity & Financing suite, partnering with internal product and relationship teams to deliver integrated proposals.</li><li>Coordinate client due diligence, onboarding, and documentation (term sheets, credit/legal/risk reviews) to ensure timely, compliant execution.</li><li>Represent BNY at industry events and client roundtables, elevating thought leadership and generating senior-level engagement and referral opportunities.</li><li>Success will be measured by the number and quality of new mandates originated; net revenue growth achieved through integrated Prime & Borrow+ and L&F cross‑sell solutions; demonstrable optimization outcomes—such as improvements in cost of funds, collateral efficiency, and balance sheet impact; onboarding speed and documentation completeness; and client satisfaction evidenced by the depth of senior relationships and engagement outcomes from events and roundtables.<br><br></li></ul>To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:<br><br><ul><li>8–12+ years in business development or financing coverage for hedge funds/alternative asset managers, with a track record originating, structuring, and closing complex liquidity and financing mandates.</li><li>Deep understanding of hedge fund strategies and their impact on balance sheet, margin, collateral, and risk; strong command of financing across cash and derivatives and collateral management (eligibility, haircuts, rehypothecation).</li><li>Knowledge of fund structures (’40 Act, onshore/offshore) and end-to-end operational integration/onboarding across custody, clearing, trading, and financing/liquidity channels.</li><li>Senior stakeholder engagement and client due diligence experience (including investor questionnaires), plus strong working knowledge of relevant regulations and the ability to translate requirements into client-ready solutions/term sheets; bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree/certifications a plus).<br><br></li></ul><strong>About Us<br><br></strong>At BNY, our culture allows us to run our company better and enables employees’ growth and success.
