Compensation Range: $62,700.00 - $78,200.00

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

Our sustainability team is small, dynamic, and highly visible - operating at the intersection of strategy, reporting, operations, and stakeholder engagement. We publish a full suite of sustainability disclosures (Sustainability Report, CDP, TCFD, CSRD/ESRS), have achieved recognition from Newsweek's America's Most Responsible Companies for four consecutive years, and received the German ESG Transparency Award's highest "Excellence Class" designation. We are working toward Scope 1 carbon neutrality by 2040 and have already achieved a 25% reduction in Scope 1 emissions since FY2020.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support a broad range of sustainability programs and initiatives across EnerSys' global operations, contributing to both strategic priorities and day-to-day execution.
  • Assist with data collection, validation, audit-readiness, and analysis to support annual sustainability disclosures, including the EnerSys Sustainability Report, CDP, TCFD, CSRD/ESRS, and other regulatory or customer-facing reporting requirements.
  • Engage with plant and operational teams globally to support environmental program development, data outreach, and continuous improvement initiatives across facilities.
  • Support global project management efforts across sustainability workstreams, helping to coordinate cross-functional teams, track progress, and maintain documentation.
  • Contribute to customer and sales support activities, including responding to sustainability questionnaires, providing research and guidance, and developing relevant materials to support business development.
  • Assist with sustainability ratings and rankings management, including EcoVadis, MSCI, ISS, and similar platforms.
  • Support internal sustainability communications and employee engagement efforts, including Green Teams and other participation programs.
  • Collect and monitor data related to emissions, energy, water, and waste across global facilities; conduct analysis and maintain tracking systems.
  • Assist with supply chain sustainability activities, including supplier outreach, data collection, audits, and support for responsible sourcing programs.
  • Provide supporting assistance for global corporate giving activities as needed, including coordination, communications, and program tracking.
  • Learn, implement and teach colleagues AI tools and skillsets.
  • Fulfill other responsibilities as the sustainability program continues to grow and evolve.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, corporate responsibility, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with major sustainability reporting frameworks, including GRI, CDP, TCFD, CSRD/ESRS, or similar standards.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to work with raw data, identify inconsistencies, and maintain organized tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop clear reports, presentations, and stakeholder materials.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, handle shifting priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working across functions - including Operations, EHS, Sales, HR, IR, Legal and Communications - and engaging directly with facility and field teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Experience supporting sustainability reporting, program implementation, or continuous improvement efforts preferred.
  • Passion for sustainability and genuine interest in contributing to a company whose products and mission are aligned with the clean energy transition.
