If so, our Phoenix Ops Team is searching for a high performing Sr Field Technician to cover the Northern Arizona area within the market.  This role will cover approximately 76 sites around Utah, New Mexico, and the Grand Canyon.

This role acts as a technical leader supporting network operations and mentoring junior technicians in technical theory and operational rigor. It provides technical direction and support for network performance, outage resolution, and project-related escalations within and outside the immediate team. The role requires advanced understanding of radio access networks, backhaul, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services. Success is measured by effective project management, technical issue resolution, process improvements, and team development. The work impacts organizational network reliability and customer service through improved operational efficiency and technical expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical support: Provides technical support within and occasionally outside immediate team working to solve network performance initiatives, outage resolution and works to identify day-to-day improvement opportunities. 
  • Project management: Leads key projects / initiatives, providing day-to-day mentorship to more junior technicians assigned to each given project / initiative. Highly organized, efficiently reporting progress, challenges, resolution plans, and overall status appropriately.
  • Operations: Identifies, researches, and develops process improvements and recommends them to management for implementation and assists junior technicians in doing the same. Uses in-depth knowledge to provide input on process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities.
  • Continuous learning: Builds training material and facilitates training to peers routinely. Enrolls in and completes training requirements to know the latest on existing and new systems and products, grow skills, and maintains proficiency on what we value and organizational requirements.


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Vocational/Technical Training or related field (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years Working experience in Field Operations and maintenance (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years Wireless telecommunications or other related experience. (Preferred)
  • Deep technical proficiency with Nokia field equipment preferred.
  • Strong background in microwave experience preferred.
  • Solar power system experience preferred.

Base Pay Range: $29.88 - $53.90

Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
