Job Role In this position you will be part of a team conducting verification and validation testing of web-based enterprise applications, including front end and back end testing. Will be responsible for writing, executing and maintaining software test plans. Manually test software, following test instructions in a test document. May also write automated tests or unit test as directed. Communicate daily with Software Development Team. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to software testing. Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision reporting to a Development Manager, Lead Developer, or Project Leader. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. The successful candidate will: - Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications. - Coordinate with team members to assist with establishing test beds by clearly articulating environmental requirements. - Create new test cases and execute established test cases. - Accurately record and clearly document all actual results compared to expected results. - Communicate with developers, project managers, and technical support specialists on product issues. - Continuously adapt to evolving process guidance to support both the project and the test constituency Experience Required: • Web Development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) • Object-oriented programming • Software lifecycle • Source control • Agile software methodologies • Integration Testing • Regression Testing • Automated Testing (Test Cafe preferred) • SQL and RDBMS Experience Desired: • Military experience desired • Experience with Scrum or other Agile methods desired • Microsoft Certification desired Education: BS in CS or Engineering plus 3 years experience OR Bachelors Degree plus 5 years of experience OR 7 years combined education and direct experience. This position will require a DoD Secret Clearance, so the candidate must have an active clearance or the ability to obtain one.
