Baer is looking for SAP Finance (R2R/C2R) Solution Expert for a 6 month Federal Remote Project.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance (R2R/C2R) Solution Expert to provide advisory leadership, solution review, and oversight for SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling processes. The role will act as the client's trusted subject matter expert, ensuring solution design aligns with business objectives, SAP best practices, and clean core principles.

Description

  • Act as the trusted SAP Finance (R2R/C2R) and Controlling advisor, providing solution leadership and governance for SAP S/4HANA programs.
  • Review and validate SAP S/4HANA design, configuration, and SI deliverables to ensure alignment with business objectives, SAP best practices, and clean core principles.
  • Lead Finance value stream activities, including global template deployments and U.S. localization initiatives.
  • Define target-state solutions, implementation roadmaps, and transition strategies.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, solution design workshops, and stakeholder discussions with business and executive leadership, including CFO-level stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise in SAP Controlling, including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Account-Based CO-PA, EC-PCA, Intercompany Processing, and Universal Journal.
  • Apply working knowledge of SAP Project Systems (GPD - Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution).
  • Oversee solution quality, project governance, risk management, testing, and cutover readiness.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools and modern delivery practices to improve project outcomes.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer, user training, and mentorship to project teams and client resources.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of SAP Controlling (CO) experience.
  • Minimum four full-cycle SAP implementations, including at least two SAP S/4HANA implementations.
  • Experience as a Value Stream Lead supporting SAP S/4HANA global template deployments with U.S. localization.
  • Strong background in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) and/or Discrete Manufacturing industries.
  • Proven ability to influence business and SI teams toward SAP standard solutions and clean core outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated executive-level engagement capability.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
