Description:

  • Client is seeking a highly adaptable Project Manager with proven experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry to support a critical post-acquisition integration initiative.
  • This individual will own coordination and execution of a learning and development workstream, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and deliverables are actively managed across a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • The ideal candidate is a proactive driver, not a coordinator, who can navigate ambiguity, adjust to shifting upstream priorities, and communicate clearly with stakeholders by providing both context and direction.
  • Experience supporting M&A integrations is strongly preferred, and familiarity with Smartsheet is required. This role is best suited for someone who is service-oriented, highly organized, and capable of balancing structured project execution with the flexibility
 
Job Details:
  • Manages one or more high-level, complex non-technical projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified requirements.
  • Projects may be strategic in nature. Responsibilities may include resource allocation and all phases of development life cycle (i.e. feasibility study, requirements, analysis, ROI, business plan, design, testing, and implementation planning). Regularly interacts with management. Coordinates and directs the activities of project team members.
  • May be responsible for cross-functional teams. Ensures all project requirements and/or objectives are documented. May obtain and manage external resources required for project completion.; Skills: ; expertise in running medium to large scale projects ; excellent understanding of project management processes and procedures ; experience with project management and analyst methodologies and best practices ; strong analytical skills ; business process development best practices, change management ; strong MS Project, MS Word, Visio, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skills ; understanding of systems for sharing and collaboration ; excellent communication skills to work with cross-program resources
 
Must-Have Skills:
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Experience in: Pharmaceutical OR Biotechnology industry ONLY
  • Tools: Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams / Outlook

Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree or
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of experience or
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience or
  • Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience or
  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience.
 
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
  • Project management
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environments preferred
  • Familiarity with Learning, Training, Compliance Training
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet (or equivalent tools)
 
Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Own day-to-day coordination and execution tracking
  • Drive accountability across stakeholders
  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks
 
Deliverables:
  • Maintained Smartsheet workplan with up-to-date status and dependencies
  • Weekly status reports (Integration Management Team-ready)
  • Active RAID log with mitigation tracking
  • Documented meeting minutes and action logs
  • Day 1 readiness tracker/dashboard
  • Post-Day 30 and Day 90 summary reports (as applicable)
 
Success Criteria:
  • All L&D deliverables are executed without impact to Day 1 readiness
  • Risks and dependencies are proactively managed and communicated
  • Stakeholders have clear visibility into progress and expectations
  • No training-related issues delay Day 1 operations
  • Workstream transitions cleanly to business-as-usual by Day 90
