We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Permitting Coordinator/Dispatcher to join our dynamic team.   • Coordinate and process permits required for transportation projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Dispatch freight shipments by scheduling pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine
  • Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve overall fleet efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette
  • Enter data accurately into logistics databases including AS400, 3PL platforms, and shipping & receiving systems to track shipments and inventory movements
  • Support shipping & receiving operations by coordinating schedules, verifying documentation, and managing freight flow through warehouse systems like Oracle TMS or SyteLine
  • Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics, supply chain operations, or fleet management
Requirements
  • Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and data entry platforms such as AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, transportation planning, freight logistics, and fleet management principles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally and efficiently
  • Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating transportation data and optimizing dispatching strategies
  • Proficiency in typing quickly and accurately while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) providers is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
