Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Online Community Engagement Manager to lead the virtual engagement strategy for our community-focused events. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming, interactive, and value-driven digital space for our professional and educational communities. You will manage virtual event hosting, moderate discussions, promote content, and ensure that community engagement remains authentic, productive, and aligned with our brand goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, host, and manage live virtual events, including webinars, panel discussions, and workshops.

  • Develop and execute community engagement strategies to grow and retain online audiences across platforms.

  • Facilitate interactive experiences during events through polls, Q&A, chat moderation, and breakout room discussions.

  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to promote events and increase community visibility.

  • Moderate online communities and forums, ensuring all interactions comply with community guidelines.

  • Collect feedback, analyze participation data, and prepare reports to enhance future event quality and audience experience.

  • Build relationships with key contributors, influencers, and speakers to maintain long-term engagement.

  • Provide technical support and pre-event training for speakers and panelists.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong interpersonal and virtual facilitation skills.

  • Proficiency in virtual event platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or Hopin.

  • Basic design skills for creating promotional graphics (using Canva or similar tools).

  • Ability to engage diverse digital audiences in a friendly and professional manner.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in online community management, virtual event coordination, or digital engagement.

  • Proven track record of hosting successful online events or managing interactive virtual communities.

  • Experience working remotely and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • Flexible remote working hours (core availability required during 2 PM to 9 PM IST) to support global audience events.

  • Occasional weekend availability for special events may be required (with compensatory time-off).

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
