About the Growth Marketing TeamThe Growth Marketing team at Constant Contact drives new customer acquisition and conversion for one of the most recognized SMB marketing platforms in the world. We operate a full-funnel performance engine across paid and owned channels, with a mandate to grow efficiently in a competitive, PE-backed environment where CAC payback, trial-to-paid conversion, and gross adds are the metrics that matter.
Paid social is a primary growth lever. This team does not optimize for impressions or engagement. It optimizes for paid customers, and it does that with precision, rigor, and a strong creative and testing discipline.
About the RoleAs Associate Manager, Paid Social & Display, you will own day-to-day execution and optimization of Constant Contact's paid social and programmatic display programs, with a primary focus on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and DV360. You will run campaigns with rigor and precision, contribute to testing roadmaps, and develop the skills to grow into full strategic ownership of performance media channels. This is a role for someone who is serious about performance marketing, wants to be close to the work, and is ready to grow quickly in a high-accountability environment.
You will partner with the VP, Growth Marketing, the creative team, analytics, and agency partners to run structured tests, communicate performance clearly, and build the habits and systems that define a strong performance marketer. You are expected to operate with increasing autonomy over time, flag risks before they appear in results, and approach every campaign with a hypothesis rather than just a task list.
Key ResponsibilitiesChannel Ownership and Execution- Own and scale Constant Contact's paid social and programmatic display efforts across Meta (Facebook, Instagram), DV360, and emerging platforms including TikTok and Pinterest, ensuring all efforts are aligned with CAC, payback period, and gross adds goals.
- Run day-to-day execution and optimization with precision: campaign setup, audience targeting, creative rotation, bid strategy, and algorithm management.
- Manage DV360 campaign execution including audience targeting, inventory management, creative trafficking, budget pacing, optimization, and performance reporting across prospecting and retargeting initiatives.
- Monitor budgets and pacing daily; identify performance risks early and act without waiting for approval.
- Own dynamic product ads, retargeting, and remarketing programs designed to drive incremental conversion, not just impression volume.
- Develop and manage structured testing roadmaps across creative formats (video, static, UGC, motion), audience segmentation, messaging angles, and landing page combinations.
- Align experimentation design with Meta's algorithm requirements: respect learning phase integrity, use holdout cells correctly, and document results in a transferable format.
- Surface creative performance signals back to the creative team with specificity: which hooks retain, which CTAs convert, which formats scale.
- Stay current on platform changes, beta features, and new formats across Meta, DV360, TikTok, and emerging channels, bringing relevant opportunities to the team with a clear hypothesis.
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting in partnership with the Manager, Growth Marketing and analytics team, grounded in performance data and clear hypotheses.
- Communicate what changed, why it changed, what you learned, and what you are doing next. Not just dashboards.
- Flag risks before they become misses. Escalate blockers with a proposed path forward.
- Partner with the creative team to brief, evaluate, and optimize creative performance at scale. Build feedback loops that make creative iteration faster and more precise.
- Collaborate with analytics, lifecycle, and product teams to close funnel gaps between paid acquisition and trial-to-paid conversion.
- Work with the VP, Growth Marketing on budget pacing, seasonal reallocation, and incremental test investments.
- Coordinate with agency and platform partners to improve operational efficiency, testing velocity, and channel performance.
REQUIRED
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns, ideally for a direct-to-consumer, SaaS, or subscription brand.
- Working fluency in Meta Ads Manager and familiarity with DV360 or other DSP platforms including campaign setup, audience targeting, creative trafficking, and basic performance diagnostics.
- Familiarity with efficiency metrics: CAC, ROAS, and trial-to-paid conversion as indicators of channel quality, not just spend delivery.
- Analytical mindset: comfortable pulling and interpreting performance data, identifying what changed and why, and presenting findings clearly.
- Some experience with or exposure to A/B testing and structured experimentation, even if at a small scale.
- Strong attention to detail and project management habits: you do not drop threads, miss pacing issues, or let campaigns run without monitoring.
- Clear written and verbal communicator: you can explain what is happening in a campaign and what you are doing about it without needing to be edited.
PREFERRED
- Experience in an SMB-focused or subscription software environment where trial volume and paid conversion are the primary downstream KPIs.
- Exposure to dynamic product ads, retargeting programs, or catalog-based campaigns.
- Familiarity with multi-touch attribution tools or any incrementality testing methodology.
- TikTok Ads or Pinterest Ads platform experience.
- Experience working cross-functionally with a creative team to brief and evaluate ad creative.
- Exposure to programmatic media buying, audience strategy, or measurement within DV360.
- Trial volume grows month-over-month within CAC and payback guardrails.
- A live testing roadmap with documented hypotheses, results, and next iterations, not a backlog of one-off tests.
- Creative performance data flows back to the creative team with enough specificity to act on.
- Performance risks are surfaced before they appear in results. There are no surprise misses.
- The paid social program compounds: learnings from this quarter inform decisions next quarter.
- Meta algorithm trust is maintained: learning phases are protected, holdout cells are used correctly, and budget is governed with rigor.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
