Your Responsibilities You will work directly with our account teams on a wide variety of tasks across a mix of clients. Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating media pitches that will resonate with the right journalists
  • Researching and preparing press lists
  • Drafting copy for a range of different audiences
  • Monitoring the media and social agenda for breaking stories
  • Building your understanding of the media landscape and becoming an advisor to the internal team
  • Managing deadlines expertly
  • Reporting and evaluating our work creating coverage and KPI reports.
Every day is different, but here is a flavour of how varied the role is:
  • 9am: You’ll check through our daily media alerts to spot and track any social mentions or media coverage that has been published overnight for our clients.
  • 9.30am: It’s time for one of our weekly internal client meetings to check on progress, how we’re delivering against budget and discuss creative opportunities.
  • 10am : You sit down with a cup of tea for one of our regular training sessions – today’s session is about how to successfully pitch broadcast media interviews.
  • 11am: One of our clients has a new data report launching so you spend time pitching the news in over the phone to reporters, gathering their feedback and documenting opportunities.
  • 11.45am: You have a quick scan of LinkedIn on behalf of one of our clients to see if there are any new influencers we should be aware of.
  • 12:15: It’s a lovely day and you’re working from home, so you take an hour to grab lunch and go on a walk.
  • 1:15pm: One of the team secured an article placement in a key trade publication for a client. You spend a couple of hours researching and writing the skeleton for the first draft.
  • 3.30pm: It’s time for one of our weekly client meetings, this week via Teams. You join the call with the rest of the team, provide updates on your activities and take notes for the actions.
  • 4pm: We’ve got a big media launch this week for one of our clients, so you spend time researching media targets and identifying opportunities.
  • 5pm: You draft a few social posts on behalf of one of our clients and send to the wider team to review.
  • 5.30pm: That’s it for the day!
