Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a creative, energetic, and self-motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our growing remote team. This internship is a golden opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in managing and growing social media platforms for a professional brand. You will work alongside a dynamic team to support digital campaigns, engage audiences, and promote our services across multiple online platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

  • Monitor social media trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Create basic graphics or short-form video content using tools like Canva or CapCut.

  • Write engaging captions, posts, and promotional text tailored to specific platforms.

  • Collaborate with team members to execute online campaigns and promotions.

  • Track and report on metrics such as engagement, reach, followers, and post-performance.

  • Respond to comments and DMs in a timely and professional manner.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of popular social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Canva, MS Office/Google Workspace; knowledge of any scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later) is a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Creative thinking with a keen eye for design and digital trends.

  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines consistently.

Experience

  • No prior professional experience required.

  • Any personal or academic project related to digital content creation or social media management will be an added advantage.
