Role Description

The Registered Nurse Virtual Care is a member of a collaborative team responsible for providing virtual nursing care to a diverse population of patients across OSF through technology in their home environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Proactive monitoring, prevention, early intervention, and ongoing care to optimize quality of life for patients at home.
  • Utilizing critical thinking, evidence-based care, and clinical decision support to guide practice.
  • Ongoing communication and collaboration with all care team members, patients, and families.
  • Acting as a patient advocate and resource to other health care providers.
  • Demonstrating service excellence and accountability through recognizing the relationship between cost-effective care and access to services.

This position is fully remote after training and orientation are completed. Applicants must have an active RN IL license.

Qualifications

  • Nursing Degree (Required)
  • 3 years of recent RN experience (Required)
  • RN licensure in IL required before hire; Michigan License required within 6 months of hire (Required)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Required)
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software (Required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail (Required)
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications, electronic EMR, and digital communication platforms (Required)
  • BSN (Preferred)
  • Ambulatory and Chronic Illness experience (Preferred)
