FREELANCE WEBSITE DEVELOPER — INDEPENDENT, PROJECT-BASED WORK

StartWeb7 is seeking an experienced independent freelance website developer or established web development business for ongoing, project-based assignments.

Individual projects are offered according to client demand. You may accept or decline each project based on your availability. There are no required weekly hours, assigned shifts, exclusivity requirements, or guaranteed projects.

PROJECTS AND FIXED COMPENSATION

Landing Page — $375 per completed project

10-Page Website — $600 per completed project

15-Page SEO-Optimized Website — $900 per completed project

Each accepted assignment will use a separate fixed-price Upwork milestone with defined deliverables, acceptance criteria, and a mutually agreed deadline.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build responsive desktop and mobile websites

Build landing pages and multipage websites from start to finish

Follow the approved project brief, content, branding, design direction, and functional requirements

Create clean, professional, accessible, and user-friendly layouts

Implement provided SEO structure and on-page requirements when applicable

Add contact forms, calls to action, navigation, and standard website interactions

Optimize responsiveness, functionality, and reasonable front-end performance

Test the completed website across common desktop and mobile screen sizes

Correct development errors and complete up to two agreed revision rounds

Deliver clean and organized project files by the agreed deadline

Manage version control and deliver all project code via GitHub

PROJECT MATERIALS AND SCOPE

StartWeb7 will provide the approved content, branding, page list, website requirements, and general design direction. The provider remains responsible for determining the manner and methods used to produce the agreed result.

For a 15-page SEO-optimized website, StartWeb7 or its SEO provider will supply the keyword targets, page structure, and SEO instructions. The developer will implement those requirements but will not be responsible for conducting keyword or competitor research unless separately agreed and compensated.

Standard pricing does not include e-commerce, membership portals, complex databases, custom applications, or other advanced functionality unless added through a separate milestone.

Material changes to the original project scope require written approval and additional compensation.

EXPECTED PROJECT TIMELINES

Landing Page — approximately 3 business days

10-Page Website — approximately 7 business days

15-Page SEO-Optimized Website — approximately 10 business days

The final deadline will be agreed upon before you accept the assignment. Client-caused delays or missing materials may extend the deadline.

Applicants must currently operate an independent freelance practice or established web development business.

The selected provider:

Controls when, where, and how the work is completed, subject to the agreed result and deadline

Uses their own computer, internet connection, software, equipment, and development tools

May serve other clients and is not required to work exclusively for StartWeb7

May accept or decline each offered project without penalty

Is responsible for their own business expenses, registrations, insurance, and taxes

Is paid for defined project deliverables rather than scheduled working hours

Must identify the individual who will perform the services and obtain approval before substituting personnel

QUALIFICATIONS

At least two years of relevant website development experience preferred

Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills

Responsive desktop and mobile development experience

Ability to follow detailed project briefs and design requirements

Understanding of basic on-page SEO implementation

Strong attention to layout, spacing, functionality, accessibility, and visual quality

Clear communication and dependable delivery

Experience using GitHub for version control

Portfolio of completed website projects required
