The TFA is responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID’s, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labor, tools and materials as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements. The primary responsibility of the TFA is to safely manage the maintenance and repair of the various equipment used in power generation applications. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our Steam Power vision and align with our organization’s core values.</p><p></p><p>This position is available remotely within the U.S. and expected to travel 80% annually. Travel will primarily be within the U.S. but may include international travel to Canada.</p><p></p><p>Continuous employment is dependent on successful completion of formal training provided by General Electric.</p><p></p><p>Candidates may receive offers of employment at varying levels of seniority based on the candidate’s qualifications and relatable experience.</p><p></p><p><b>Your Role:</b></p><ul><li><p>Manage, perform, coordinate, and/or monitor Steam Power site activities.</p></li><li><p>Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation.</p></li><li><p>Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment.</p></li><li><p>Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer's sites.</p></li><li><p>Perform administrative functions such as: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis.</p></li><li><p>Signs off on all changes implemented.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintage.</p></li><li><p>Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site.</p></li><li><p>Perform aftermarket upgrades that need to be performed at the site level.</p></li><li><p>Supervise critical tasks when these activities are performed by third parties (as measuring, dimensional checks, other considered by the management).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related discipline from an accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA; or a High School Diploma / GED with 4+ years of experience in a Field Services or power generation equipment maintenance role.</p></li><li><p>Ability to obtain Unescorted Security Clearance to Nuclear Facilities across NAM</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience working on customer sites.</p></li><li><p>Technically oriented, fast-learner, self-starter (need people who need little direction, willing to do self-study, self-directed)</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of Steam Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters OR Steam Boiler Operational Principals</p></li><li><p>Strong technical skill in reading and interpreting <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">electrical/mechanical</span> flow and instrument diagrams dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment.</p></li><li><p>Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of your pre-employment background and drug screening (to be taken within 48 hours of your receipt of the test paperwork). You may receive specialized classroom and laboratory training to prepare you for your assignment. You will be expected to complete periodic training to meet competency requirements for the position.
