Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and fluent English to Telugu Translator to join our remote team, contributing to the localization of high-quality eLearning materials. As a translator, you will be responsible for accurately converting English educational content into Telugu, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and clarity for learners in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This role is ideal for language professionals who are passionate about education and want to make a meaningful impact in the digital learning space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate eLearning content, including text, assessments, instructions, and multimedia scripts, from English to Telugu.

  • Ensure that translations maintain the original tone, context, and intent of the source material.

  • Adapt educational content to be culturally and linguistically appropriate for Telugu-speaking learners.

  • Review and proofread translated materials for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

  • Collaborate with content creators, instructional designers, and project managers to meet deadlines and project expectations.

  • Implement edits and feedback from linguistic reviewers and quality assurance teams.

  • Maintain terminology databases and translation memory tools for ongoing projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Telugu with excellent command over English (both written and verbal).

  • Proven translation experience, preferably in eLearning, academic content, or digital education platforms.

  • Strong grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills in Telugu.
