Dietary Aide

Overview
South Hadley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated part-time Dietary Aide to join our team at our skilled nursing facility in South Hadley, MA. The ideal Dietary Aide will assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the dietary department for our long-term care residents.

Dietary Aide Schedule
  • Part-time, approximately 20 to 30 hours per week
  • Open shifts: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Must be available to work both shift windows across the week (not same day)
  • Weekend availability required on a rotating basis
Dietary Aide Duties
  • Support food service activities by assisting in meal preparation and serving
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and procedures
  • Assist in bussing tables and cleaning dining areas
  • Help with food handling and storage
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Dietary Aide Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation and handling techniques
  • Familiarity with time management principles in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
