Position Summary

We are seeking a high-performing Delivery Project Manager – Scrum Master to lead cross-functional agile teams within our Data & Analytics and Commercial Marketing technology organizations. In this dual role, you will be the driving force behind both the execution framework (Scrum Master) and the ultimate delivery outcomes (Delivery Manager) for critical Business Intelligence (BI) and data-driven marketing initiatives.

You will partner closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Marketing Product Managers, and Business Stakeholders to streamline delivery pipelines, eliminate roadblocks, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate balances a deep understanding of Agile principles with a sharp focus on predictable, high-quality delivery of data products and marketing technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Facilitation & Coaching (Scrum Master)
  • Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives) tailored for data engineering and analytics workflows.
  • Coach team members in Agile values and principles, helping cross-functional data and marketing teams self-organize and mature their delivery capabilities.
  • Identify, track, and aggressively remove impediments—such as data dependency delays or changing marketing requirements—to keep sprint goals on track.
  • Maintain highly accurate metrics (velocity, burndown charts, cumulative flow) to drive team predictability and continuous improvement.
End-to-End Data & Marketing Delivery Management
  • Own the delivery lifecycle of complex, cross-functional Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, advanced data pipelines, and marketing technology integrations.
  • Manage dependencies and release planning across interconnected data infrastructure teams and commercial marketing stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the data product backlog is healthy, prioritized, and aligned with strategic commercial and marketing objectives.
  • Communicate delivery status, data quality risks, and resource constraints clearly and transparently to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Governance & Data Excellence
  • Analyze delivery metrics to identify bottlenecks in the data development lifecycle (DDLC) and implement optimization strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with organization-wide data governance, privacy, compliance (including HIPAA/GDPR where applicable), and quality standards without compromising agility.
  • Contribute to the broader Agile community of practice within the organization to share best practices for managing data and analytics products.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience acting as a Scrum Master and/or Delivery Manager within an enterprise software, data engineering, or analytics environment.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record delivering projects involving Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), data warehousing, and Marketing Technology/Analytics solutions.
  • Agile Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS). Experience adapting Agile to data-specific workflows (where requirements evolve with data discovery) is highly valued.
  • Tooling Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with Agile project management tools, specifically Jira and Confluence.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between technical data engineers, marketing strategists, and business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • Prior experience working within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry, specifically supporting Commercial, Sales, or Marketing analytics.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack components (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS data services, ETL/ELT pipelines) and marketing automation platforms.
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
