Customer Experience Auto Technician with Expertise in Race Cars, Muscle Cars, or Hot Rods

About the position

Speedway Motors is seeking a Customer Experience Auto Technician who is a car enthusiast with extensive knowledge of aftermarket auto parts for muscle cars, hot rods, and race cars. This role involves diagnosing technical challenges and confidently guiding customers toward purchasing the right products to bring their automotive builds to life, primarily over the phone and via email. Responsibilities

  • Be the expert voice over the phone that helps customers identify, evaluate, and purchase products that will achieve their performance or restoration goal.
  • Use a consultative approach to recommend solutions, explain product benefits, and guide customers toward confident buying decisions.
  • Communicate in writing to provide technical support and product recommendations to customers via email and other applications.
  • Make independent decisions regarding proper product application, ensuring both technical accuracy and alignment with customer needs.
  • Maintain an extensive working knowledge of aftermarket automotive technology as it pertains to building, tuning, and maintaining Race Cars, Hot Rods, and Muscle Cars.
  • Serve as a technical resource for both customers and internal teams, including sales and customer support staff.
  • Assist our product and e-commerce teams to develop and update website content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support product visibility, customer engagement, and overall sales success.
  • Contribute toward the development of training material for fellow techs and sales staff members.
  • Participate in the production of technical content including video, tech articles, instruction sheets, and product reviews.
  • Attend industry trade shows and events acting as an ambassador for Speedway Motors.
  • Embrace and live out Speedway Motors core values.
  • Constantly work to improve processes; make suggestions for productivity improvements, and optimize employee workflow, while continuing to meet our customers’ needs.

Requirements
