Cosmetic Registered Nurse

Overview

The Cosmetic nurse performs, explains, and schedules cosmetic procedures, consults, and treatment regimens regarding select treatments available at Forefront Dermatology. This position actively promotes/sells cosmetic products, pricing, and services.


Responsibilities

Essential Functions: 

1. A Registered Nurse injector, preferably with clientele, is skilled in dermal fillers, neurotoxins, hair restoration, chemical peels, laser treatments.

2. Actively promotes/sells cosmetic products and services.

3. Performs, explains, and schedules select cosmetic consults and treatments per protocols.

4. Provide appropriate patient education and aftercare instructions.

5. Provide recommendations for cosmetic service enhancements and implements approved plans within specified timeframes.

6. Maintains accurate documentation of treatment in all client medical records. 

7. Pre-book patients and retain patients. 

8. Assist with development of advertising and promotional materials.

9. Responsible for all cosmetic discussions regarding all available cosmetic treatment options available.

10. Responsible for aftercare instructions, relaying information between the doctor and the patient and from the patient to the doctor and schedule appropriate follow up and treatments.

11. Adherence to compliance and completion of compliance training.

12. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education:

1. Registered Nurse License issued by state of employment is required.

 

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:

1. 1-2 years of related experience in a medical office or spa setting is preferred.

2. Passionate about the aesthetics industry and always willing to learn and grow. 

3. Proficiency in basic computer functions and keyboarding is required.

4. Ability to learn new software quickly and operate standard office equipment is required.

5. Must respond positively to constructive criticism and direction from supervisors.

6. Ability to understand physician’s instructions and know when to seek additional information or clarification is required.

7. Demonstrates professional appearance and manner at all times.

8. Ability to display a friendly cheerful, tactful and polite demeanor and compassionate caring in dealing with others is required.

9. Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA requirements. Uses time productively and contributes to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness

10. Must possess excellent leadership, organizational, computer, and communication skills.

11. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, board, clients, and the public.

12. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.

13. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.

14. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
