The ideal candidate has a strong background in Unreal Engine, particularly Unreal Sequencer, and a deep understanding of how to bridge cinematic storytelling with real-time gameplay systems. You will work closely with writers, animators, level designers, and engineers to craft compelling in-game cinematics that elevate player immersion and emotional engagement.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and polish real-time cinematics using Unreal Sequencer, including camera work and cinematic transitions..</li> <li>Collaborate with narrative, animation, gameplay, level design, and VFX teams to integrate cinematic sequences seamlessly into Unreal Engine</li> <li>Set up and maintain narrative systems, such as dialogue triggers, branching scenes, and character states, to support interactive storytelling.</li> <li>Develop and maintain cinematic tools, blueprints, and pipelines that improve workflow efficiency for the team.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and optimize cinematics for performance and stability across multiple platforms.</li> <li>Work with audio teams to sync VO, SFX, and music with cinematic sequences.</li> <li>Provide technical mentorship and documentation for cinematic workflows and tools.<br><br></li> </ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in cinematic or narrative design for games, preferably in AAA or high-quality indie projects.</li> <li>Expert proficiency with Unreal Engine and Level Sequences.</li> <li>Strong understanding of real-time narrative systems, including scripting, triggers, and state machines.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to create visually compelling cinematic sequences in-engine.</li> <li>Familiarity with Blueprints and/or scripting for cinematic logic and tool creation.</li> <li>Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.</li> <li>A strong portfolio or reel showcasing cinematic work in Unreal Engine.<br><br></li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>.</h3> <ul> <li>Strong grasp of cinematography principles and camera direction.</li> <li>Familiarity with performance capture workflows and facial animation systems.</li> <li>Passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of game narrative design.</li> <li>Proficiency with setting up scenes and exporting animations from Maya.</li> <li>Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>#LI-Remote</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Mob Entertainment is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and complies with all federal, state, and local laws prohibiting discrimination in employment.
