Duties

  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
  • Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising and stocking shelves as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions professionally and practicing proper phone etiquette
  • Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and merchandising efforts
  • Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring a positive shopping experience
Experience
  • Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
  • Supervising experience is a plus, especially if it involved overseeing customer service or cashier teams
  • Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
  • Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening, are essential for success
  • Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments will help you excel in this role
  • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demos will support your ability to contribute across multiple store functions
