Team Overview Client Investment Strategy (CIS) is a newly created team that develops BXMA’s thought leadership and investment content platform, enabling cross-divisional investment views and strategic client engagement.  CIS works closely with Investment Teams, Product Management, and ICS (sales & relationship management team) to ensure clients receive consistent, insightful, investment-credible messaging across every interaction. Position Summary We are seeking a Principal to be a senior level leader within CIS who combines investment expertise, exceptional communication skills, and strategic judgment. This individual will help to build the CIS team and shape BXMA’s cross platform content agenda, translate complex investment themes into compelling client narratives, and serve as a visible client-facing resource for high priority relationships.  The ideal candidate is both a strategist and an operator: they will build a thought leadership engine while simultaneously producing best-in-class materials themselves. Key Responsibilities Content Leadership & Investment Messaging Lead development of BXMA’s flagship thought leadership pieces (flagship marketing decks, market outlooks, thematic insights, white papers). Distill complex investment themes across public and private markets into clear, differentiated narratives for institutional and wealth clients. Partner with investment teams to source perspectives, develop clear narratives, and ensure messaging aligns with BXMA’s investment activity and market views. Maintain a forward-looking content calendar aligned with fundraising priorities, market conditions, and client demand. Ensure consistent high-quality deliverables across the CIS organization. Client Facing Representation Act as a senior level investment content voice in select client meetings. Support ICS in high impact fundraising and retention discussions by providing tailored investment insights and materials. Engage with senior level client stakeholders and sophisticated allocators to clearly articulate our investment views. Cross Functional Partnership Work closely with Product Management to integrate investment narratives into deliverables (DDQs/RFPs, quarterly decks, fund updates). Collaborate with ICS to ensure insights map to client needs across geographies, segments, and strategies. Standardize content processes, templates, and messaging frameworks to ensure consistency across the platform. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in investment strategy, multi asset research, research manager, or a similar role within an asset management, alternatives, or consulting business. Strong multi asset expertise and experience with alternatives (public and/or private markets); synthesizes portfolio insights into concise client ready narratives. Exceptional writing and presentation skills; communicates complex ideas to both sophisticated and non-specialist audiences. Experience supporting senior level client conversations and collaborating with sales/relationship management teams. Operates at a Principal level: independent worker, accountable, and effectively leads initiatives from concept through delivery. Prior experience producing thought leadership or client facing investment content at scale. Comfort working in a fast moving environment with senior level stakeholders and compressed timelines. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; conveys information clearly and concisely. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. Expected annual base salary range: $225,000 - $250,000 Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
