<h1>AWS/Lambda Developer</h1><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting AWS Lambda-based integrations that facilitate secure data exchange between Salesforce and multiple VA enterprise systems.<br><br>The AWS/Lambda Developer will work within a cloud-focused environment supporting serverless applications, API integrations, data transformation services, and enterprise integration workflows. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on AWS experience, and the ability to support production environments while collaborating with development, DevOps, and program stakeholders.<br><br>This position is 100% remote and supports a mission-focused federal program serving Veterans nationwide.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions supporting enterprise integration workflows.<br>• Build and support API-driven integrations between Salesforce and VA enterprise systems.<br>• Design, implement, and maintain data transformation and mapping logic for downstream applications.<br>• Troubleshoot and remediate production issues related to Lambda execution and integration processing.<br>• Monitor CloudWatch logs, metrics, and alerts to identify and resolve operational issues.<br>• Implement resilient processing patterns, retry mechanisms, and error handling workflows.<br>• Support AWS Step Functions orchestration for complex business processes.<br>• Perform root cause analysis and support resolution of production incidents.<br>• Collaborate with development, operations, and DevOps teams to support releases and production stability.<br>• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint-based delivery activities.<br>• Follow secure coding practices and support compliance with federal security requirements.<br>• Contribute to documentation, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant software development experience, Associate’s degree and 7+ years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 9+ years of experience.<br>• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance.<br>• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch, S3, and IAM.<br>• Experience developing and supporting API-driven integration architectures.<br>• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.<br>• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps deployment practices.<br>• Experience using monitoring and logging platforms such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar tools.<br>• Understanding of secure coding practices and cloud security standards.<br>• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and serverless architectures.<br>• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Active VA Public Trust clearance.<br>• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator.<br>• Experience supporting federal government programs or regulated environments.<br>• Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and cloud-to-cloud data exchange.<br>• Experience supporting systems handling sensitive or regulated data.<br>• Experience working within Agile software development teams.<br>• Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks including NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>How We’ll Support You:</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Keeping people satisfied is no small undertaking.
